Not all Land and Timber management companies are the same...

Here's What We Do Different

Forestry & Timber Management

At High Heaven, forestry is about more than harvesting trees—it’s about managing land for long-term health, value, and compliance. Our forestry and timber management services include thinning, clear cutting, reforestation, herbicide application, road planning, and ongoing stand management. We help landowners understand what they have, when to act, and how to improve future productivity while meeting Oregon Department of Forestry requirements. Whether your goal is timber value, healthier forests, or easier long-term maintenance, we take a thoughtful, hands-on approach that protects both the land and your investment.

Rural Development

We support rural landowners with practical development solutions that make properties more functional, accessible, and compliant. Our rural development services include site preparation, access planning, septic system installation, and land improvements tailored to agricultural and residential needs. With the proper licenses and experience to manage complex projects, we help landowners move forward confidently—whether building, improving infrastructure, or preparing land for future use. From initial planning to final execution, we focus on long-term usability and responsible land stewardship.

Fire Mitigation

Fire mitigation is one of the most important investments a rural landowner can make. We help reduce wildfire risk by creating defensible space around homes, shops, and timber stands through selective thinning, limbing, vegetation reduction, mulching, and fuel management. Our goal is to slow fire spread, reduce fuel loads, and improve overall safety while preserving the usability and appearance of your property. Fire mitigation isn’t a one-time project—it’s an ongoing process—and we help landowners develop maintenance plans that keep properties safer year after year.

Timber Valuation & Timber Deeds

Many landowners underestimate the value of their timber. We provide professional timber valuation services to help clients understand what their land is truly worth and how to maximize that value responsibly. In some cases, timber deeds offer an alternative solution—allowing landowners to receive immediate financial benefit while maintaining property ownership. These agreements are carefully structured with long-term outcomes in mind, balancing current needs with future forest health. Our experience ensures landowners make informed decisions, not rushed or undervalued ones.

Land Clearing & Mulching

Our land clearing and mulching services are designed to turn overgrown or unmanaged land into clean, usable space without unnecessary disruption. Using modern mulching equipment, we eliminate the need for burn piles or hauling debris, returning organic material back to the soil where it belongs. This approach reduces smoke, minimizes disturbance, and leaves behind a clean, manageable finish. Whether you’re preparing land for development, improving views, reducing fire risk, or “domesticating” property for easier maintenance, we deliver results that look good and last.

Project Regulation & Management

Navigating forestry regulations and long-term land requirements can be overwhelming. We handle project regulation and management from start to finish, ensuring compliance with Oregon Department of Forestry guidelines, USDA programs, and other regulatory standards. From planning and permitting to execution and follow-up, we manage the details so landowners can remain hands-off with confidence. Our approach minimizes risk, avoids costly penalties, and leaves properties productive, compliant, and easier to manage long after the project is complete.

Septic Installation Services

A conventional gravity septic system uses natural gravity to move wastewater from your home to the septic tank and drainfield. It’s a reliable, cost-effective solution for properties with suitable soil conditions and proper drainage.

Pressure distribution septic systems use a pump to evenly distribute wastewater throughout the drainfield, making them an excellent option for properties with challenging terrain or soil conditions that require more controlled treatment.

Sand filter septic systems provide enhanced wastewater treatment by filtering effluent through specially designed sand before it reaches the drainfield. These systems are ideal for properties that require additional filtration due to site conditions.

Mound septic systems are engineered for properties with shallow soil, high groundwater, or poor drainage. Built above the natural ground surface, they provide reliable wastewater treatment when conventional systems are not suitable.
